I started making this guitar to try out some new ideas, including a brand new shape with a cutaway. It is a medium sized, often called Orchestra Model, steel string guitar with a lightly built X-braced soundboard and an active back. I am expecting the instrument to have a responsive sound and a solid bass response and it should be suitable for many types of music like folk, fingerstyle and jazz. Aesthetically, I have experimented with some carving, including a church window as a soundport.
